By working at Yellowstone National Park, you will get all three! As the Furniture Mover, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day functions that keep the park running smoothly. Job Summary: The job involves the loading, transporting, and unloading of furniture, fixtures, and equipment throughout the Park, as well as managing discarded items for disposal or recycling. Responsibilities include setting up banquet equipment for various events, and communicating furniture needs across departments. The role also encompasses minor furniture repairs, vehicle maintenance, and may require support in other areas such as print shop or refinishing tasks as needed. The Details: Position Type: Seasonal Season Dates:April 2025 - October/November 2025 Pay:$17.75- $19.00/hour Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Why Yellowstone National Park? Responsibilities Furniture -Level I - $19.00/hr Responsible for loading, handling, transporting and unloading all furniture, fixtures and equipment used throughout the Park. Responsible for loading and transporting discarded items to the landfill or recycle centers outside the Park. Responsible for the loading, transporting, unloading and setting up of banquet equipment Park-wide for groups, events, conferences, and special functions. Responsible for assisting in the training & mentoring of Truck Driver / Furniture Mover II. Ability to communicate furniture needs with a variety of departments, locations, and personnel in the field. Serve as a liaison between location personnel and support services manager. Assists Support Services craftspersons with furniture out on location by taking care of items in need of minimal repair. Assist with in house projects such as caning historic chairs. Responsible for the safe operation of company assigned vehicles and the maintaining of appearance and fluid levels of vehicles. Responsible for completing all assigned tasks with minimum supervision. Assist the furniture lead with minor furniture repair projects in the field and in the shop by learning & adhering to the safe operation procedures of drills, sanders, saws, and miscellaneous small tools. As a part of the Support Services Departments and based on staffing as well as outside available help, the Furniture Level II person may be asked to help the Print Shop, Furniture Refinishing, Mail Courier or other duties as assigned. Furniture - Level II - $17.75/hour Responsible for loading, handling, transporting and unloading all furniture, fixtures and equipment used throughout the Park. Responsible for the loading, transporting, unloading and setting up of banquet equipment Park-wide for groups and special functions. Assists Support Services craftspersons with furniture out on location by taking care of items in need of minimal repair. Assist with in house projects such as caning winter repair. Responsible for the safe operation of Company assigned vehicles and the maintaining of appearance and fluid levels of vehicles. Responsible for completing all assigned tasks with minimum supervision. As a part of the Support Services Departments and based on staffing as well as outside available help, the Furniture Level III person may be asked to help out the Print Shop, Furniture Refinishing, Mail Courier or other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be capable of loading, handling, transporting and unloading all furniture, fixtures and equipment in a safe, efficient manner. Must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and possess a current DOT physical card. A thorough knowledge of Park and concession-operated locations including buildings and dorms is beneficial. Ability to set up banquet equipment in an efficient and timely manner. Must be capable of driving 24,000 GVW vehicle on narrow mountain roads.Physical Requirements include: Physical Requirements Include: Able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Able to be on your feet for at least 8 hours each day, including bending, pushing and pulling. Able to climb and descend stairs with loads. Able to work in changing weather conditions. Must possess physical stamina and conditioning to withstand heavy labor, i.e. 8 hours of moving heavy furniture and mattresses. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
