JOB SUMMARY
The Fundraising Coordinator reports to the Chief Development Officer (CDO) and will assist with administrative duties related to development and philanthropy at Williamsburg Landing (WL). They will perform a wide variety of duties related to fundraising and relationship management, such as gift tracking and follow up, donor stewardship, event planning. This position will work with the CDO and the Board’s Development Committee to create and implement the communications strategy for WL campaigns and drives. This role will also offer training opportunities in executive administration functions, and have the potential for expanded scope and responsibilities over time.
PAY
This position starts at $20.00/hr and is commensurate with experience.

Produces and implements annual appeals correspondence and marketing materials Produces and implements printed and e-newslettersRecords gifts in donor databaseGenerates acknowledgments and thank you letters for giftsDesign and run fundraising reportsUpdate Campaign financial reports and presentationsAssist with Stewardship (ex: gifts to donors at certain levels)Tracks departmental budget expensesCommunicates with other departments regarding their gift balancesAssists with planning and conducting special eventsTracks pledges and pledge follow-up Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent donor and resident information, releasing information only in accordance with established policiesMaintains positive interactions with residents, donors, and employeesAssists with and performs other organizational and administrative duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma/GED, required graduate; Bachelor’s degree, preferredTwo (2) or more years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or progressively responsible administrative assistant roles, required; experience in a senior living or health care setting, preferred Experience with a fundraising database or donor system, preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Excellent organizational and administrative skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Ability to maintain professional working relationships and work tactfully with donors, employees, residents, prospective residents, family members, visitors, and the general publicAbility to take initiative to solve problems on behalf of residents and donors to exercise sound professional judgmentAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writingGeneral knowledge of fundraising, donor relations, and marketing techniques Ability to work as a team or independently and be self-motivated and goal oriented with shared accountabilityProficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to conduct internet research and use databases and software such as donor or fundraising management programsAbility to spend considerable portions of the day sitting and working on a computer Ability to work a part-time schedule, Monday – Friday between hours of 8:30am-5pm; a set schedule will be determined upon hire based on department needs and candidate availability
