Join our Managed Funds Accounting team under Fund Services, Securities Services Operations, Corporate and Investment Banking, where you will lead and manage back-office functions supporting clients and fund managers in Asia Pacific, primarily in Australia and New Zealand. The Managed Funds team provides accounting services for various assets, including Unlisted Unit Trusts, Hedge Funds, and Private Equity Unit Trusts.
As a Fund Servicing Analyst - Managed Funds in our Managed Funds Accounting team, you will lead and manage back-office functions supporting clients and fund managers in Asia Pacific, primarily in Australia and New Zealand. You will oversee the Managed Funds team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial services, including accounting, tax reporting, and client query resolution. You will maintain high standards of client service and adapt processes to meet market and client demands.
Job responsibilities:
Manage workflow and supervise staff to ensure accurate and timely processing of work, meeting all deadlines.Oversee the preparation and reconciliation of financial statements, tax returns, and other deliverables.Coordinate with Sydney Financial Reporting and Tax teams to resolve issues and respond to queries.Lead projects related to process enhancements and productivity improvements.Conduct training and provide coaching to team members, ensuring adherence to procedures and standards.Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements, serving as a point of contact for auditors.Monitor and manage risk, implementing resolutions to mitigate risk and improve efficiency.Provide backup coverage during staff absences and peak volume periods.Maintain client and bank integrity, ensuring optimum service levels and documenting solutions to negative trends.Manage special requirements, including early morning shifts and weekend work as needed.Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:
Ability to manage workflow and meet deadlines.Sound knowledge of financial markets and basic understanding of accounting and taxation principles.Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities:
Tertiary qualification preferable but not necessary.Understanding of custody mainframe systems and processes is beneficial.Behavioral Competencies:
