Fund Operations Analyst

Our Private US Residential Real Estate Debt Strategies group (“RESI”) is seeking a Fund Operations Analyst, where you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing residential mortgage loan operations. As part of our dynamic operations team, you will support the portfolio management team by overseeing comprehensive loan servicing reports and synthesizing data from various counterparties. Our RESI operations group thrives in a collaborative environment, emphasizing shared responsibilities across a range of focus areas to drive the success of our deal operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute and manage treasury operations, including the preparation of wire instructions for trade settlements, funds transfers, and vendor invoice processing.

Assist in the monthly close process by meticulously reviewing and reconciling NAV packages prepared by third-party fund administrators to ensure financial accuracy.

Supervise third-party loan servicers to guarantee the timely and accurate delivery of remittance reporting, fostering robust working relationships to enhance reporting precision and resolve any emerging issues.

Conduct detailed reconciliations of remittance reports, focusing on principal balances, next due dates, and interest rates. Prepare meticulous loan-level accrued interest calculations to support monthly closures.

Manage cash activity across multiple trust accounts, ensuring accurate and timely cash flows, and prepare comprehensive daily cash reconciliations.

Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies within your areas of responsibility, contributing to the continuous enhancement of operational workflows.

Collaborate on and contribute to ad-hoc projects and analyses as requested, providing valuable insights and solutions to drive operational success.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in financial operations or a similar role.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

Exceptional analytical, planning, and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and concisely.

Ambitious and resilient, with the capability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Ability to work independently, efficiently managing daily tasks with minimal supervision.

A team-oriented work ethic, with a willingness to assist colleagues and contribute to team goals.

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $60,000-$95,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Illinois. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
