Prepares purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to departments originating requests. Responds to supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations. Reviews requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications. Prepares, maintains, and reviews purchasing files, reports and price lists.Tracks the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders. Checks shipments to ensure that orders have been filled correctly and that the goods meet specifications. Compares supplier invoices with quotes to verify accuracy. Verify data from invoices to ensure accuracy. Obtain information from individuals needed to complete purchase requisitions.Use computers to enter, access or retrieve data. Maintain records, reports, or files. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent Two (2) or more years purchasing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.MS Office Proficiency. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations. Highly skilled communicator both verbal and written. Excellent basic math skillsEnclosed office space with daily exposure to manufacturing and warehouse environment; must be able to wear all required PPE protection.Equal amounts of time spent sitting, standing, and walking.
