**Description**
The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Strong Memorial Hospital, invites applications for a full-time Psychologist position to begin July 1, 2025. We are recruiting for a candidate with outstanding clinical, supervision, and program development / evaluation skills for a position with a focus on evidence-based care and consultation within an acute adult inpatient setting (average length of stay 10-14 days). Candidates with expertise in inpatient psychiatric care, program development and evaluation, psychological testing, and short-term treatment of acute psychiatric illness, and supervision expertise, are encouraged to apply.
This new position affords the opportunity to design and serve as the programming lead for an Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Unit (20 total beds) specialized for adults presenting with acute psychotic disorders. The successful candidate will also provide clinical care (brief therapy, group therapy, psychological testing), supervise pre-doctoral interns, and participate in scholarly activities. Collaboration with the multi-disciplinary inpatient teams and facilitating ongoing interdisciplinary education and training opportunities are essential. Evaluation of the development and integration of psychological services into the specialized inpatient unit is also a component of the position.
Our adult inpatient service includes 56 beds (will be 66 beds in June 2025) and a very collaborative and interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, APP’s, RN's, psychiatric pharmacologist, mental health therapists, recreation therapists and creative arts counselors, a chemical dependency counselor, and trainees. As an educator and supervisor, the successful candidate will also join an enthusiastic team of over 15 psychologists, as well as psychology trainees, in our APA accredited pre-doctoral internship program and post-doctoral fellowship.

Senior Instructor salary range $92,150 - $114,886
Assistant Professor salary range $101,650 - $136,217
Associate Professor salary range $129,200 - $177,960
**Qualifications**
Interested applicants should have earned a PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology from an accredited training program, as well as have demonstrated experience in medical education. NYS Psychologist license required prior to start. Ideal, candidates will also have clinical/supervisory skills and experience in integrated care (primary and/or specialty care), as well as experience working in academic medicine. The referenced pay range represent the University's good faither and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries.
