Full-Time Certified Home Health Aide - HHA (Up to $1,000 Sign-On Bonus!) - Atria Park of Great Neck
Individuals seeking to provide enhanced care to residents must be a New York State Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA). Atria will sponsor the state-required courses to earn the HHA certification. An Atria Home Health Aide will be asked to: Provide direct and indirect care elements to residents in a community under the direction of a nurse supervisor. May have to provide direct and indirect care elements to numerous residents per shift. Demonstrate appropriate and safe techniques in personal hygiene. Adhere to assessment/task sheets for community health aide. Observe, report and document resident status according to Atria standards. Maintain a clean safe environment. Assure adequate nutrition and fluid intake. Safely transfer and ambulate resident. Help maintain the resident's physical and mental well-being. Attend in-services as required. Maintain CEU requirements in compliance with New York State law. Maintain home health certification. Attend and complete various Atria-required trainings designed for community employees. May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned. Completion of the 9th grade, prefer high school. Able to read and write consistent with job. Successful completion of a New York State approved home health aide training program (i.e. home health aide certification). Has a reliable means of transportation. Meet health requirements.
