It enables us to expand on our work across many platforms and bring more of our SEO ideas into practice. A big change, but a lot will also remain the same: our team, our brand, our headquarters in Wijchen, and Yoast SEO. And, of course, our mission: SEO for everyone.

What you’ll do & how you’ll make your mark 

Work with a high-performance team of software engineers to plan, develop and implement the best software solutions that effectively satisfy business functional and non-functional requirements. 

Understand requirements, collaborate and deliver new features and services at a steady pace. 

Participate in the entire lifecycle of the product – design, documentation, coding, testing and deployment. 

Follow Scrum methodologies and join work planning, estimations or refinement sessions. 

Learn new technology & practices and share with the team – devote time for learning and continuous improvement of self. 

Build our platforms, frameworks, APIs & libraries to support our SEO-focused (distributed) software solutions. 

**Preference given to candidates that are able to work 1 day per week onsite in Wijchen.

Who you are & what you’ll need to succeed 

3+ years experience in a professional software engineer role with strong experience in developing web applications. 

Experience with PHP or TypeScript/JavaScript (preferred), or any other OOP language. 

Experience with building a frontend with React and Tailwind would be a plus. 

You understand and can apply design patterns. 

Experience with Test Driven Development, Unit Testing and tools like PHPUnit and Jest 

Experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban 

Experience with Git/SVN/CVS, continuous integration & continuous delivery 

PHP and/or WordPress plugin experience are considered a plus
