IBM’s Cognitive Support Platform is used by 25K+ IBM Support professionals in over 200 countries and territories around the world, to deliver product support to IBM’s customers. This position will be on our Data and Integration squad that is responsible for extracting, transforming, and loading the data that is crucial to the operation of the technical support systems within IBM. As well, this component builds interfaces to other enterprise level applications required for the delivery of service to IBM customers. This position provides an opportunity to work on a leading edge, enterprise scale Salesforce implementation that will challenge you to grow your technical skills at an accelerated pace. Responsibilities • Develop, support and maintain enterprise scale Java components • Understand and work in an agile development environment with the ability to work on numerous stories and issues simultaneously in a fast-paced environment • Active participation in peer design reviews to ensure that we deliver the highest quality solutions • Problem solver and focal point during severity 1 and critical situations • Teamwork with peers, other managers, and teams across IBM • Mentoring and coaching of junior Java developers on the team Role will be a hybrid remote/onsite work model at either the RTP/Durham, NC or Austin, TX campus locations. No sponsorship offered for this opportunity. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Minimum of three years of Java experience with a focus on JEE, RESTful JSON services, and SQL programming (DB2 preferred) * Exposure to Agile, DevOps, and Automated Testing * Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders. **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Experience developing applications using the Salesforce API * Experience developing extraction, transformation, and data loading interfaces * Bachelor's Degree * Linux/UNIX experience
