Description We are looking for a Full Stack Developer with a front-end focus to join our client's team and help enhance their WordPress-based eCommerce platform. Their site processes high-volume transactions, and they need a developer who can optimize functionality, troubleshoot issues, and ensure a seamless user experience. This is a temp to hire or potentially PERM hire opportunity. Tech Stack: Front-End: JavaScript, Bootstrap, WordPress Back-End: PHP, MySQL Key Responsibilities: Maintain and improve the existing platform while also contributing to new development projects. Enhance site functionality, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth eCommerce transactions. Collaborate with lead developers to manage code reviews, testing, and deployment. Work with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment. Ensure the system remains task-focused and efficient, identifying and resolving functionality issues. What Success Looks Like (First 3-6 Months): Quickly onboard with the existing codebase and workflow. Efficiently solve tickets and optimize system performance. Improve site stability by proactively addressing spiraling functionality issues. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a task-focused approach. Requirements Strong front-end development experience (JavaScript, Bootstrap, WordPress). Proficiency in PHP and MySQL for backend support. Understanding of eCommerce platforms and transaction-heavy websites. Ability to collaborate in a team environment while also owning projects independently. Strong soft skills—someone who communicates well and fits within the team culture. Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with scalable architecture or microservices. Familiarity with DevOps or cloud technologies (not a primary focus). Prior experience working with Agile methodologies.
