IS Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to deliver innovative software applications and be part of the digital transformation for ABB’s Installation Product(IP) division. As full-stack developer, you will be responsible for the development and deployment of impactful business applications thanks to modern and high-quality UI, intuitive navigation, and solid performance. You will act as a leader for the coding activities, and you will work in collaboration with cross functional teams as IS/IT, projects, and business stakeholders located in IP factories.The work model for the role is: #LI-hybridThis role is contributing to the Installation Products division. You will be part of the IS department and will work on cross division projectsYou will be mainly accountable for:•\tDesign and develop full-stack web applications using web React or Angular, Node.js, Javascript and RESTful web services,•\tCollaborate with multi-skilled business teams working in factories’ operations,•\tArchitect and implement scalable and efficient applications for business operations,•\tDevelop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices to support front-end functionality,•\tDesign and maintain database schemas, and data access layers,•\tImplement user authentication and authorization systems using ABB’s Infosec best practices and security requirements, •\tDeliver high-quality UI and optimize applications for robustness, performance, and scalability,•\tWrite efficient, modular, and maintainable code for both front-end and back-end components,•\tContribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment,•\tImplementing and maintaining the development environments,•\tLead and provide instructions to a team of developers and tester,•\tStay updated with the latest technologies, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications for the role

\tBachelor’s degree as minimum with preferences for Computer Science, Computer programing, Information systems Management, Software Engineering,\tStrong Frontend experience with React.js or Angular, Node.js, HTML, JavaScript, CSS\tProficient in backend development (Node.js, Express.jst) and related technologies,\tProficient in RESTful web services and API development, including authentication and authorization mechanisms,\tStrong understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL),\tStrong track record on applications development and deployment on cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP),\tStrong experience in CI/CD software delivery pipelines and in code management tools such as Git or Jira,\tExperience with DeVops tools, backlogs, iterations, user stories and work items,\tSolid experience in secured coding with the application of guidelines and usage of security libraries,\tLeadership in solutioning, good communication and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment,
