Job Description: Bookkeeper
A company in Lancaster is looking for a PART-TIME detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws. The Bookkeeper will play a critical role in supporting financial operations and contributing to the overall success of the organization by ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial transactions. You must be able to work ONSITE.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain Financial Records: Record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank and credit card statements, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records
Payroll Processing: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.
Invoice Management: Generate, verify, and post invoices for customer billing and vendor payments.
Review & Audit: Monitor financial discrepancies, resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account data, and prepare reports for external and internal audits when needed.
Compliance: Follow all accounting standards and stay updated on changes in financial regulations.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is a plus.
Experience: 3+ years of bookkeeping or related accounting experience preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and processing numerical data with precision.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, vendors, and team members
Analytical Ability: Skill in identifying and resolving discrepancies or other financial issues that arise.
