Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase goods from internal (feeder factories) and external suppliers according to the delivery schedule, transportation mode, price, special requirements, and terms and conditions. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities are aligned with company purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by handling urgent situations to ensure timely deliveries. The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-HybridThis role is contributing to the Electrification Business Area of ABB. You will be mainly accountable for:•\tReleasing purchase requisitions and initiating purchase orders in the system, aligning them with customer requirements (based on ERP and standard operation procedures) and as per the release strategy and table of authorities.•\tMonitoring suppliers’ order acknowledgments and dispatch advice, along with the inbound freight, customs clearance, and local transportation processes.•\tTracking the purchase orders backlog and performing regular expending activities with internal (feeder factories) and external suppliers to ensure customer on-time delivery.•\tMinimizing the late backlog by proactively identifying root causes and implementing recovery plans; and tracking goods received at the warehouse to verify appropriate delivery and ensures invoice processing and high customer service level.

Qualifications for the role

You are purchasing, inventory or supply planning function with around 2 to 5 years of practical experience in a similar roleAbility to demonstrate your skills in MS Excel and other office applications, SAP ERP particularly ECC and APO is an advantage.You are passionate about delivering high quality of work and customer satisfaction. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or supply chain related course is desirable.You are at ease communicating in English.Possess work rights in the Philippines.
