Job Title: Fulfilment Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description Join our team as a Fulfilment Pharmacy Technician, working closely with the pharmacist to ensure the health and safety of patients. You will support the pharmacist by locating, dispensing, packing, labeling, and shipping orders in a timely manner, following all laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures. Providing friendly customer service to patients and health care professionals is a key aspect of this role. Responsibilities + Function within the limits of the law and company policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations. + Clean and maintain equipment following daily, monthly, and annual procedures. + Be properly attired in clean scrubs and wear appropriate safety equipment as per standard operating procedures. + Work to maintain a safe, clean workplace and demonstrate an understanding of emergency and disaster plans. + Receive and verify the accuracy and authenticity of prescriptions. + Correctly read prescriptions, interpret physician intent, and process prescriptions in The Compounder system under pharmacist supervision. + Work with the pharmacist to maintain ingredient, equipment, and batched product inventories at acceptable levels. + Stock the fulfillment area with finished products and necessary materials. + Prepare orders for pharmacist review prior to shipment. + Sort, stock, and label compounded medications. + Conduct oneself in a manner upholding the moral and ethical practice of the pharmacy. + Ensure medications are properly stored. + Provide prompt, friendly service to clients and handle patient complaints in a caring and efficient manner. + Perform other tasks and duties assigned by the Pharmacist Manager to assist in the smooth, efficient operation of the fulfillment area. + Support the pharmacist in the daily operations of the fulfillment area. + Complete administrative tasks as assigned. Essential Skills + Ability to work and communicate well with pharmacists, peers, and superiors in a cordial and professional manner. + Excellent listening and communication skills. + Detail-oriented and inclined to make few mistakes. + Commitment to close follow-up and completion of all assigned tasks. + Demonstrate teamwork and initiative. + Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Understanding of Microsoft Office software, QS-1, and Compounder. + Ability to operate basic office equipment such as copier, fax, and telephone. + High School Diploma or equivalent. + Retail experience with stocking, labeling, and sorting compounded medications. Work Environment This position operates from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Tuesday through Saturday. Our pharmacy is currently expanding, offering exciting opportunities for internal growth. We are opening a new location across the street and growing from 40 employees to 100. The role offers a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity, providing stability and paid holidays. Clean scrubs are provided daily. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
