Fulfilment Pharmacy Technician (11:00pm - 7:00am M-F)

The Fulfilment Pharmacy Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of patients by working closely with pharmacists. This position involves locating, dispensing, packing, labeling, and shipping orders in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures. The role requires providing friendly customer service to both patients and healthcare professionals.

ResponsibilitiesFunction within the limits of the law and organizational policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations.Clean and maintain equipment following daily, monthly, and annual procedures.Wear appropriate safety equipment and attire, including clean scrubs provided daily.Maintain a safe and clean workplace while understanding emergency and disaster plans.Receive and verify the accuracy and authenticity of prescriptions.Correctly read prescriptions, interpret physician intent, and process prescriptions in The Compounder system under pharmacist supervision.Work with the pharmacist to maintain ingredient, equipment, and batched product inventories at acceptable levels.Stock the fulfillment area with finished products and necessary materials.Prepare orders for pharmacist review prior to shipment.Sort, stock, and label compounded medications.Conduct oneself ethically and ensure medications are properly stored.Provide prompt, friendly service and handle patient complaints efficiently.Perform tasks assigned by the Pharmacist Manager to assist in smooth fulfillment area operations.Support pharmacists in daily operations and complete assigned administrative tasks.Essential SkillsPharmacy experience, particularly in retail pharmacy settings.Experience with stocking, labeling, and sorting compounded medications.Ability to work and communicate well with pharmacists, peers, and superiors.Excellent listening and communication skills.Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Understanding of Microsoft Office software, QS-1, and Compounder.Ability to operate basic office equipment such as a copier, fax, and telephone.Work Environment

The position requires working from 11:00pm to 7:00am, Monday through Friday or 8:00am - 4:30pm, Tuesday-Saturday. The pharmacy is currently undergoing an expansion, offering opportunities for internal growth as it looks to increase its workforce from 40 to 100 employees. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
