Fuel Supply Chain Manager, EU Fleet, Aviation Sourcing and TechOps
Amazon is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to identify, develop and integrate innovative solutions and programs that lead to improvements in our transportation network. This position will lead the development and execution of initiatives designed to optimize Air’s fuel supply network and drive service performance improvements as well as carbon reduction. The successful candidate will have strong data mining and modeling skills and is comfortable facilitating ideation and working from concept through execution.

- Ability to work in an ambiguous environment with little guidance or supervision

This position requires an employee’s full and unimpaired skills and judgment to safely execute their job duties to ensure the safety and security of Amazon AIR personnel, third-party contractors, Airport personnel, cargo, and equipment. This position is therefore designated as a safety sensitive position and is subject to mandatory pre-employment and, where permitted, post-hire drug testing.

Key job responsibilities
- Collect data and perform advanced modeling and statistical analysis
- Determine efficient fuel delivery systems and hubs
- Optimize product pricing and delivery into the aircraft
- Map, document, and recommend process improvements
- Assist in communications with internal and external vendors and suppliers
- Research and implement cost reduction opportunities
- Implement processes for cost audit and vendor invoice consistency
- Partner with vendors and logistics providers to supply Sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and increase usage throughout the network

A day in the life
- Work with suppliers to negotiate down the cost of fuel and service
- Understand the fueling infrastructure at various airports and be able to respond to fuel shortages or weather disruptions
- Reach out to vendors to diagnose operational or supply disruptions and implement mitigations and corrective actions
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders how to respond to weather disruptions
- Track the fueling for Amazon’s flight and report on any delays
- Contact vendors to deep dive cause of delays and establish corrective processes
- Track fuel inventories across the network and react to shortages before they impact operations
