Fuel and Lubrication Receiving Coordinator

Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly motivated and committed employee for the position of a Fuel and Lubrication Receiving Coordinator to join the versatile Supply Chain team. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick's DNA by:

Reporting to the Fuel Superintendent, you will be responsible for formulating and developing initiatives, strategies which will result in fostering optimal acquisition and utilization of resources needed site wise to ensure resource optimization and profitability maximization.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

Receiving and Inspection 

Verify fuel delivery quantities against supplier documentation Conduct visual inspections for fuel contamination or damage Check fuel temperature, API gravity, and other quality parameters. Collect and label fuel samples for laboratory testing. Document discrepancies or issues with deliveries.

Storage and Handling

Store fuel in designated tanks or containers. Ensure proper labeling and signage for fuel storage areas. Monitor fuel levels, predicting potential shortages. Maintain fuel storage facility cleanliness and organization. Perform daily inspections of storage equipment.

Receipts and Recording

Maintain accurate records of fuel receipts and inventory. Update inventory of Fuel in SAP Investigate and resolve fuel discrepancy issues.

Logistics and Communication

Coordinate with logistics teams for fuel deliveries. Communicate fuel requirements for re-ordering Provide fuel-related information to operations personnel. Participate in mine site meetings and discussions.

Other Duties

Work with Maintenance Department to perform routine maintenance on fuel equipment. Assist with fuel system repairs. Participate in audits and inspections. Develop and implement process improvements. Provide training to new personnel

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Logistics, or related field. 5+ years of experience in fuel management or logistics. Mining industry experience preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license
