**Saint Paul College invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Economics. **Job Description**
Position responsibilities, knowledge and abilities:
+ Strong discipline expertise and the ability to teach a variety of Economics courses, primarily including Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Introduction to the American Economy.
+ Courses are taught at a variety of times and/or delivery modes including days, evenings, fully in-person, online asynchronous, and blended/hybrid in-person/online formats
+ Design and teach courses in the Economics program using teaching methods that support the success of diverse students.
+ Assess student learning and academic achievement at classroom, department/program, and college levels.
+ Participate regularly in department meetings and in department responsibilities such as course scheduling, articulation agreements, program reviews, program assessment, curricula development and external partnerships.
+ Available and willing to be actively engaged in the college community and student success activities, such as advising student activities clubs and promoting career exploration in economics fields.
+ Participate in service to the college and the greater community, such as college-wide committees and community and professional networks.
+ Participate in achieving annual college, division, and departmental priorities.
+ Continually develop expertise in the Economics field and in innovative teaching practices.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Master's degree with a major in economics or a Mater's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in economics.
**Preferred Qualification**
+ Earned doctorate in economics or a closely related field.
+ Three years of teaching experience in a community college or five years teaching experience at the college level.
+ Experience teaching college students who are: first generation, English language learners, culturally, racially, linguistically, academically and neuro-diverse.
+ Documented experience with evidence-based, high-impact teaching practices and course designs for in-person, online asynchronous, and blended/hybrid delivery modalities.
+ Demonstrated commitment to the mission, vision, and values of community and technical colleges.
**Other Requirements**
In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (MnSCU) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business, whether using a personal, rental or state vehicle, shall be required to complete a Vehicle Use Agreement form and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check annually.
