Position: Senior – Business side
Travel: Travel to the USA for training is expected.
Responsibilities - Senior:
Work as senior on multiple workstreams or clients as a part of BAU/Production team. Interact with stakeholders (client and other third parties such as fund administrators) on matters related to data and production. Facilitate and encourage the necessary conversations between the Business and Technology to determine the what and the how of the product features. Work independently with minimum supervision from the US based team. Report to production manager in GDS. Provide technical guidance to the team as well as client as needed. The role is deadline oriented and may require to work under US time schedule. Be involved in project management as needed. Mentor, train and inspire staffs to meet the project objectives. Proactively develop and impart training on new onboarded or upcoming initiatives for team members. Work with Technology and US team in identifying process improvement areas and bring in the culture of automation.
Position Requirements - Senior:
Clear communication skills, both written and verbal 4 – 8 years of experience with at least 2 - 3 years of senior experience in BCM or WAM industry, Exposure to US based asset management or fund administration firm. CA or Master’s degree with accounting major needed. Strong understanding of financial industry with fund accounting, fund structures, expense reporting, tax reporting, assets types and derivatives is mandatory. Excellent understanding of risk reporting in BCM or WAM space. Exposure to Fund/ Asset Financial Reporting validations, Cashflow, journal Adjustment procedures. Fair understanding of Technology/Framework and Data systems across the WAM sector. Strong experience in performing expense reporting checks for the prospectus part of the fund. Good Understanding of Risk function deliverables like Key Risks & Controls and the testing thereof. Understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting is a plus. Detail-oriented with Excellent problem-solving skills. Actively participate in the selection of new regulatory tools/frameworks and methodologies. Recommend and assist in its implementation. Understanding of the applications used in the Fund Accounting or reporting process. Should be good in MS office and knowledge of Python would be a plus but not mandatory. Understanding BRD would be an added advantage. Risk and controls minded. Intellectually curious. Self-starter with the ability to solve problems creatively and deliver results while working in a dynamic, collaborative, and challenging environment. Should pay attention to detail, proficient in MS applications (Word, Excel, Power Point), excellent analytical skills and must display effective interaction capabilities with various stakeholders. Visa ready to USA is preferred.
