Regulatory Reporting Specialist
The opportunity
Work as manager on multiple workstreams or clients as a part of Regulatory Reporting BAU/Production team.
Your key Responsibilities
Expertise & deep understand the intricacies around European Regulatory reporting framework & work as senior as a part of Regulatory Reporting BAU / Production team Perform detailed analysis and effectively interact with the onshore/offshore team members. Ensure all deliverables conform to the highest quality standards and are executed in a timely manner. Manage a team of highly skilled individuals to deliver high quality, high integrity, high performing, innovative solutions. Build a mature practice. Work independently with minimum supervision & the role is deadline oriented & may involve working with client environment. Identify areas of improvement and bring in a change to streamline the work environment. Ability to execute detailed procedures based on knowledge of funds, asset management concepts, controllership function, investment books and records, and/or financial reporting processes. Facilitate and encourage the necessary conversations between the Business and technology to determine the what and the how of the product features Partner with product management and business leaders to drive agile delivery of both existing and new offerings. Collaborate with business, architects to translate business requirements into scalable solution options and provide inputs to product roadmap/strategy. Identify, evaluate, and suggest new technology opportunities that is value-driven for platform enablement and act as key differentiators for any offerings in WAM/BCM space. Facilitate and encourage the necessary conversations between the Business and Technology to determine the what and the how of the product features. Work with Technology and business partners in identifying process improvement areas and bring in the culture of automation. Organize, lead, and facilitate multiple teams on highly complex, cross-functional, data and analytics initiatives.
Skills and attributes for success:
Clear communication skills, both written and verbal. 8-12 years of experience in Banking Capital Markets or Wealth & Asset Management industry with exposure to European based regulatory reporting is must. Master’s degree in accounting or finance mandatory. MBA, CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent degree will be good to have. A strong understanding of financial industry with fund accounting, expense reporting, tax reporting, asset types and derivatives is mandatory. Direct exposure to any of the European regulatory reporting like MiFID II transaction reporting, ESMA, CBI, AIFMD, CSSF, SFDR, FCA or any other transaction, valuation or back reporting is plus. Functional knowledge: Good knowledge and understanding of WAM domain and deep knowledge of capital market OTC derivative products (Equity, Commodities, Currencies, Rates, Cash and Credit). Thorough understanding of different product taxonomies in Regulatory Reporting. General understating of Lux/UK GAAP and accounting knowledge is desirable. Understanding of the applications used in the Fund Accounting or reporting process. Knowing Risk function deliverables like Key Risks & Controls and the testing thereof. Understanding BRD would be an added advantage. Should pay attention to detail, proficient in MS applications (Word, Excel, Power Point), excellent analytical skills and must display effective interaction capabilities with various stakeholders. Crisp and effective executive communication skills, including significant experience presenting cross-functionally and across all levels. Create roadmap, design, and implement solutions to migrate legacy systems to next gen solutions.
