Job Description
We are seeking a front office medical assistant to join a fast-paced oncology center. The ideal candidate will be experienced in front desk operations within a healthcare setting and well-versed in medical terminology. This role involves answering phones, charting, verifying insurance, and scheduling patients. The successful candidate will need to quickly adapt and perform tasks independently without requiring repeated instructions.
ResponsibilitiesAnswering phones and providing excellent customer service.Charting patient information accurately.Verifying insurance details for patients.Scheduling patient appointments efficiently.Providing administrative support as needed.Educating patients about procedures and care.Taking and recording blood pressure readings.Performing EKGs and other clinical tasks as required.Essential SkillsExperience in medical assisting and triage.Knowledge of patient care and clinical procedures.Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health records.Strong customer service skills.Ability to multitask effectively.At least 1 year of experience in customer service within a healthcare setting.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in administrative support within a healthcare setting.Long-term career goals in the healthcare industry.Work Environment
The work schedule is from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm or 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
