Puzzmo’s Frontend Engineer will be responsible for ensuring Puzzmo.com is performant, intuitive, and charming for end users. You will work closely with Puzzmo’s games, backend, and business teams to achieve well rounded results in encouraging gameplay and fun as well as optimizing the site’s subscription and advertising businesses.

What Will It Take To Be Successful?

Success in the job will involve working well with experienced, senior level engineers and business leaders to make quick progress on a wide range of initiatives.  This is an individual contributor role, meaning you will be expected to write and collaborate on code as your main contribution to the team. We expect qualified candidates to have 5+ years experience in frontend web development, with significant depth of knowledge in Typescript and ReactNative frameworks.

Puzzmo is the puzzle games platform founded by Zach Gage and Orta Therox, and acquired by Hearst in 2023.

In accordance with applicable law, Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in New York State. The reasonable estimate, if hired in New York State, is $140,000 to $155,000. Please note this information is specific to those hired in New York State. If this role is open to candidates outside of New York State, the salary range would be aligned to that specific location. A final decision on the successful candidate’s starting salary will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, and education.
