We're seeking someone to join our Investment Banking & Global Capital Markets Technology team as an Associate Web Developer in the Advisory Sales & Distribution Super Department to build innovation solutions to support the complex and evolving needs of our businesses in Institutional Securities Group.

This is a Software Engineering II position at the Associate level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

What you'll do in the role:
Contribute to the function through a range of operational activities and project tasks, developing an understanding of the business and operating environment.
Participate in the design, development, and testing of software applications.
Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and deliver on software projects.
Assist in troubleshooting and debugging software issues.
Learn and apply best practices in software development methodologies.
Contribute to code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Document technical specifications and system configurations.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the software engineering team.
Engage in training and upskilling activities to enhance technical skills.
What you'll bring to the role:
Ability to engage with the broader team, communicate goals, tasks and deliverables in 1-1 and team meetings.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Hands-on proficiency in Web development using Html, Typescript, CSS ideally with Angular framework.
Good to help additional knowledge of Java, Python, REST services or database technologies.
Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Basic knowledge of databases and data structures.
Willingness to learn new technologies and tools.
At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $150,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
