FP&A Analyst

As a key member of the finance team, this role will report to the Manager FP&A, Operations. The position is a hybrid role based in Brampton, Ontario, and will work closely with the plant managers and other finance and operational staff at our Brampton location.

All analyses related to the Manufacturing Operations such as analysis of production reporting, labor variance, material usage variance, SLOB analysis, and plant and warehouse expense analysis. Prepare periodic reports, including the monthly financial package, and the monthly KPIs for operations. Work closely with the operations managers on weekly updates to the forecasts, including highlights and commentaries on current performance developments and emerging future trends. Work closely with the finance team during month-end to ensure that all operational activities have been properly accounted for and recorded, and that all accruals are done in accordance with GAAP. Work closely with tooling and sales team to update tooling amortization schedule as part of month end process Review open Capital projects, ensure that they meet the capitalization guidelines, and update monthly CapEx schedules. Support the annual budget process for Operations and work closely with the Manager FP&A and Financial Controller in updating various budget schedules. Support the annual physical inventory and external audit. Provide backup for other finance roles as needed. Ensure that a working system of internal controls is utilized to maintain the integrity of the accounting system and be SOX compliant. Any other duties as may be assigned. \n Commerce or Business degree, or CPA candidate. Minimum 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment as an Analyst. Experience with CMS or other fully integrated ERP systems. Hands-on, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to respond quickly. Advanced Excel report creation capabilities, and overall strong system skills. Team player with above-average oral/written communication. \n
