**Description** **Forklift Tech** **nician** Division/Department: Pork Location: Marshalltown Job title: Forklift Technician Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor Salaried Grade: Non-Exempt Type of position: Full-time Shift: 1st shift Hours: Must be flexible. (On call) Internal Candidates with less than 3 Attendance points will be considered for position! Qualifications: + Must have overall knowledge of the Maintenance and Operation of Powered Industrial Trucks. + Familiar with Electric and propane forklifts, electric pallet jacks, Scissor and boom lifts. + Be proficient at the following: DC Electronics, Hydraulics, Battery Chargers, Propane Fabrication andWelding a plus, + Understand and comply with Company policy and procedures + Good communications skills, both verbal and written + Good work history and attendance + Team Player with leadership skills Required skills: + Preventative and predictive maintenance on all powered industrial trucks. + Emergency repairs as needed. + Promote and encourage safety in all aspects of maintenance + Attend meetings as scheduled + Perform other duties as needed or assigned Education Requirements (if applicable) + High school diploma or GED equivalent.
