**Job Title: Forklift Operator Freezer** **Job Description** The Forklift Operator Freezer is responsible for ensuring that our finished product is moved within our warehouse in a safe and efficient manner. Forklift duties include driving a forklift in a freezer warehouse, ensuring the safety of equipment being used, transporting finished product in the warehouse, pulling finished product for loading of trailers, preparing trailers for loading, and loading trailers while adhering to proper procedures. Additionally, ensuring facility maintenance through good housekeeping practices is essential. **Responsibilities** + Perform required safety checks of equipment before use + Move finished product from blast freezer to finished product warehouse + Scan finished product into rack location using warehouse management system + Transport finished product from racks according to work orders and place in staging area + Prepare to load trailers by opening dock doors, setting dock plates, inspecting trailers, checking trailer temperatures, verifying load plans, and chocking tires + Load trailers according to load plan + Maintain facility through good housekeeping practices + May perform other duties as assigned **Essential Skills** + Ability to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position + Ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in English + Ability to drive forklifts including stand-up, sit-down, and hi-lift + Ability to work in a cold environment for long periods of time + Excellent attention to detail + Ability to move up to 75 lbs + Basic math skills + Basic knowledge of computers **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Knowledge of forklift safety and troubleshooting + Knowledge of proper forklift loading procedures + Ability to understand the effects of product damage + Ability to solve problems independently + Must be well organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously + Ability to work individually as well as with others as a team at all levels + Ability to be PIT Certified + High school diploma or GED preferred + Minimum 6 months forklift experience preferred **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values safety, efficiency, and teamwork.
