As a part-time Forklift Operator and Laborer, you will assist in the safe and efficient movement of materials and products within the production facility. You will also provide support in various manual labor tasks related to the production and handling of cast stone products. **Key Responsibilities:** + Forklift Operation: Safely operate forklifts to move raw materials, finished products, and equipment around the production area. + Loading/Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading trucks with cast stone materials and products. + Material Handling: Stack, organize, and move heavy materials and stone products using proper equipment and techniques. + Production Support: Assist in various production tasks, including preparing molds, mixing materials, and ensuring quality standards are met. + Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), following safety guidelines for forklift operation, and reporting hazards. + Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including basic forklift maintenance (e.g., checking fuel, hydraulic fluid, and tires). + Physical Labor: Participate in physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. **Qualifications:** + Experience: Previous experience operating a forklift is required. Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment is a plus. + Skills: + Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently. + Strong attention to detail and quality. + Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) regularly. + Basic knowledge of the construction industry or willingness to learn. + Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
