Our client, a family-owned food company is looking to hire a Forklift Operator for their location in Santa Ana, CA. The ideal candidate will need a minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

The Day-to-Day:

Safely operate a forklift and electric pallet jack to move raw materials and supplies.Receive and store raw materials following FIFO (First In, First Out) and company SOPs.Deliver materials to production lines as requested.Load products into freezers and ensure proper storage of goods.Report any product damage or equipment malfunctions to the Warehouse Lead or Supervisor.Maintain accurate inventory records by completing production request sheets and other documentation.Follow company policies related to GMP, Food Safety, Food Quality, and Employee Safety.Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times.Perform weekly cleaning of trailers and maintain white lines in the warehouse.Assist with receiving bulk ingredients like cream yeast, soybeans, and bulk flour.Adhere to company safety protocols and maintain a clean forklift driving record.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.Experience operating sit-down forklifts and using hand-held scanners (preferred).Certification in forklifts or ability to become certified.Ability to use a hydraulic skate, electric skid (Electronic Pallet Jack).Strong teamwork and leadership skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including night shifts.Basic reading, writing, and communication skills in English.Ability to drive a Bobtail and perform inventory counts.Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Pay Rate/Shifts:

$24.00Monday to Friday9:00 PM- 5:30 AM (The selected candidate will train on B Shift (1:00 PM – 9:30 PM) for two weeks before transitioning to C Shift (9:00 PM – 5:30 AM)
