**Forklift Operator** **Pay Rate $19-$21** **Chambersburg, PA** **Job Description** This position will be a hybrid role involving forklift operation and general labor tasks. The ideal candidate must be comfortable getting on and off the forklift as required. The role includes operating a sit-down Toyota Forklift, moving and stacking materials by hand and with equipment, pallet building and pallet picks, loading and unloading trucks, and shipping and receiving. General labor duties and maintaining a clean work area are also part of the job. **Responsibilities** + Operate sit-down Toyota Forklift + Move and stack materials by hand and with equipment + Build and pick pallets + Load and unload trucks + Perform shipping and receiving duties + Maintain a clean work area + Account for accurately loading and securing outbound shipments of freight + Unload and check accuracy of inbound freight, store materials based on procedures + Prepare paperwork for outbound freight shipments, including bills of lading + File paperwork properly + Collaborate and communicate closely with the Service Center Supervisor and Area Marketing Manager concerning orders and material to be shipped and received + Assist the Service Center Supervisor in office procedures as needed, including taking customer calls, processing orders, and checking inventory + Conduct cycle inventory counts for customers using the computer system + Work hours as required by business necessity, such as during emergency storm situations or as instructed by the Service Center Supervisor or Area Marketing Manager + Attend required meetings as needed or instructed by the leadership team **Work Environment** This role is based in a smaller facility with only four other employees. The team environment requires flexibility in assisting with job duties outside of normal requirements when asked. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4 pm, with flexibility to work from 7 am to 4:30 pm if needed. The facility supports various electrical companies, particularly those working with utility/power lines. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
