Forklift Operator
**Forklift Operator** **Job Description** We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing products, operating various equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation of shipments. This role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and handling repetitive tasks. **Responsibilities** + Organize product on the yard according to inventory procedures. + Safely load and unload products from flatbeds and box trailers. + Validate packing slips, ship tickets, and other delivery documentation by auditing, recording, and interpreting shipping documentation, weights & measures, labels, and production schedules. + Operate stretch wrap machines, film roll up-enders, and extended boom arm forklift equipment. + Work outside in all conditions to aid in staging of product and scooping/hauling. + Handle bags weighing up to 60 lbs, with most bags weighing less than 40 lbs. + Perform additional duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job as assigned on a temporary or permanent basis. + Dump up to 600 bags per day, engaging in highly repetitive tasks. **Essential Skills** + Experience in farm hand operations. + Proficiency in sit-down forklift and stand-up forklift operations. + Experience in unloading, warehouse inventory, and shipping & receiving. + Skill in operating various forklift equipment and machinery. + General production and packaging experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in landscaping, farming, manufacturing, and livestock handling. + Proficiency in operating equipment such as skid steers and loaders. + Ability to work in harsh or extreme weather conditions. + Experience in material handling, load management, and inventory control. + Familiarity with RF scanners, picking, and packing processes. **Why Work Here?** Join a family-run operation that values teamwork and collaboration. The role requires working outdoors 70-80% of the time. While forklifts are enclosed, the work environment is not temperature-controlled, and finished products are stored outside. The machines are on automated lines, but the candidate would not always be working directly on those lines. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of McLean, Illinois **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
