Forklift/material Handler
**Job Title: Forklift/Material Handler** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and reliable warehouse and forklift operator. This position will be responsible for various aspects of the warehouse, including unloading trucks, receiving parts, tracking inventory, staging products for shipping, loading trucks, and servicing the production area. The role requires independent work, time management, prioritizing duties, multitasking, and attention to detail. **Responsibilities** + Receive inbound materials and parts accurately, placing them in designated locations. + Operate a sit-down forklift proficiently. + Organize materials to maintain a neat, safe, and uncluttered warehouse. + Utilize hydraulic moveable forks to handle large spools of wire without damage. + Manually stack products on skids and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly. + Work with freight companies, including over-the-road carriers, LTL, UPS, and FedEx. + Manage inventory control. + Use computer systems for receiving parts and tracking inventory. **Essential Skills** + Proficient forklift operation. + Experience with UPS Worldship and FedEx Ship Manager. + Ability to lift 50 pounds throughout the day. + Experience with strapping, wrapping, and weighing pallets. + Experience completing LTL Bills of Lading. + Computer literacy. + Self-motivated and organized. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + No certifications required, but prior forklift experience is essential. + Familiarity with computers. + Experience with RF scanners and inventory management. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a positive work environment where you will be responsible for your department. Some tasks involve transporting products to the manufacturing area and moving finished products to the shipping area. The company processes wire and cable to make cord sets for electronic equipment. Materials handled include spools of wire, large bags of plastic pellets, and other components on skids and in boxes. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
