Forge Set Up C starting at 24.55 Location : ALBION, IN, United States Job Family : Manufacturing Job Type : Regular Posted : Feb 7, 2025 Job ID : 54389 Back to Search Results Job Description Apply Now > Save JobJob Saved Duties/Responsibilities + Perform operations and set up on trim presses and cleaning and cooling systems + Read and interpret process prints, including math conversions for setting machines. + Use prescribed procedures, setups, and judgment to perform work in order of sequences and maintain quality + Successfully complete Machine Operator A (MOA) training class + Produce and inspect finished parts using scales, calipers, micrometers, adjustable, direct reading, and fixed gages to check work + Adjust machines or vary degree of pressure/stroke to suit type of materials, contour, and size + Check work using straight edge, contour sweep gauges, templates, and layouts + Ability to receive and retain training, instruction and work other shifts throughout progression + Use of judgment to plan, perform and make decisions as to set ups and operations within recognized procedures + This position is a progression to levels “B” and during a one-year period + Proceed on work assignments with some supervision and some assistance + Other duties as assigned by Supervisor + Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner, that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment. Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately. + Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner. + Work with groups in initiating and implementation of programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S projects.
