This position is currently contingent on program award and associated program award funding. Start dates are determined after funding confirmation.

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for either a Level 3 Principal Proposal Analyst or a Level 4 Senior Principal Proposal Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals! This position will be on site in Melbourne, Florida.

The Level 3 Principal Proposal Analyst or a Level 4 Senior Principal Proposal Analyst will develop and plan the Supply Chain Financial Forecasting through collecting and tracking supplier invoices and actuals. The selected candidate will ensure alignment between the CAM, SMT, Subcontract Admins, Business Management and Supplier forecasts. The selected candidate will be a key participant in ensuring EV guidelines are met and communicated to the Cost Management Team. Communications across functions is key to collecting and reporting the financial details of the Program. The analyst works within NG tools such as SAP to pull, manipulate, and analyze financial data to continually plan and forecast.

Specific duties include:

Update Supplier forecasts monthlyConduct weekly meetings to review forecasts & disclose concernsCollect reasoning for & document variances in actuals from the planReport how variances impact the future Supplier financialsUnderstand cost structure and drivers to support analysis and forecasting.Delivering high quality financial analysis and forecasts to support corporate decision making.

This requisition may be filled as either a Principal Proposal Analyst or a Senior Principal Proposal Analyst.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3 Principal Proposal Analyst:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or related discipline with 5 years of proposal or material estimating experience OR a Master's degree in business, finance, economics or related discipline with 3 years of proposal or material estimating experienceAbility to perform and apply cost accounting, pricing and estimating concepts and principlesProficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and WordYour ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 4 Senior Principal Proposal Analyst:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or related discipline with 8 years of proposal or material estimating experience OR a Master's degree in business, finance, economics or related discipline with 6 years of proposal or material estimating experienceAbility to perform and apply cost accounting, pricing and estimating concepts and principlesProficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and WordYour ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with SAPExperience with program cost analysis in an engineering and manufacturing environmentWorking knowledge of government contract environment (FAR and DFARS)Working knowledge of cost accounting standards, generally accepted accounting principles and accounting/proposal auditing techniquesFamiliarity with the concept and application of Cost Improvement CurvesIntimate background with Global Supply Chain Subcontract/Procurement requirements, FAR proposal adequacy and execution

Salary Range: $78,700.00 - $118,100.00Salary Range 2: $98,100.00 - $147,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
