Food Services - Dishroom Attendant/Utility

Responsibilities

Customer Focus: Maintain a customer-centric approach while performing duties, greeting and directing customers.

Dishware Management: Assume full responsibility for the cleanliness of dishware, including scrapping, loading, unloading, and restocking dishes.

Equipment Maintenance: Keep the dish machine clean, report any functional or mechanical problems, and monitor water temperature and chemical levels to ensure a sanitary wash cycle.

Sanitation and Organization: Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware, keep the dishroom clean and organized, and complete opening and closing checklists.

Supply Management: Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware, dish detergents, sanitizers, and cleaning supplies.

Trash Handling: Bag and haul kitchen trash to the dumpster.

Safety and Compliance: Comply with all HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) policies and procedures, report accidents and injuries promptly, and participate in safety meetings and training programs.

Additional Duties: Clean food preparation and production areas, ensure sinks are equipped with paper towels and soap, and maintain clean floors (swept and mopped). May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High school graduate or GED required.

Ability to work a flexible schedule

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the shift

Must be able to stand for extended periods (typically 8 hours or more)

Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching

Ability to handle and operate dishroom equipment efficiently

Mobility to move quickly and navigate tight spaces

Ability to push and pull heavy dish racks and carts

Performing repetitive motions with hands, arms, and body
