Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Gunfighter Theater located at Mountain Home AFB. This a Flexible position with no minimum guaranteed hours per week, however may work up to 40 hours per week. This position does not offer benefits. Frequently lifts or moves objects weighing up to 40 pounds. May be required to work on ladders and use powered cleaning equipment. Must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages. Responsibilities Uses kitchen appliances such as popcorn machine, hotdog roller and hot plates. Serves cold beverages and food items, such as soda, juice, cookies, muffins, pastries, popcorn, hotdogs, candy, etc. Receives payment, operates cash register, makes and returns change to patrons. Sets up work area for operation and obtains cash bank. Maintains work area in a neat and clean manner. Stalks shelves with resale items and replenishes condiment items as necessary. Performs preventive maintenance and cleaning. Scrapes, soaks, scours glassware, dishes and utensils as required. Also performs heavy duty cleaning tasks as required such as; popcorn machine, ceilings, under and behind equipment, refrigerators, washes floors and walls, sanitizes garbage cans. May unload stock from delivery trucks. Collects and transfers trash from work area to disposal area. Assists with inventories, identifies items for re-ordering. May be required to prepare documentation for cash funds accountability. May sell alcoholic beverages limited to bottled beer. Sets up and plays movie on either the portable screen or in the theater. Works with AV equipment and adjusts settings as necessary. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifying Experience: Must be able to follow simple oral instructions, be able to use hand tools for cleaning, and operate simple machines. Must be skilled in doing tasks with several steps and must use judgement in sequencing tasks. Must be able to follow cash handling procedures. Must have knowledge of sanitation standards in handling and serving food, and for cleaning equipment and work area. Must be physically able to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand and walk, and frequently stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). Must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
