Summary This position is located at Crater Rim Cafe on Kilauea Military Camp (KMC) Hawaii Volcanoes National Parks, Big Island, Hawaii. Responsibilities Performs a variety of tasks having several steps or a sequence of tasks that requires attention to work operations in a kitchen or dining area following established procedures. Sets up cafeteria lines, steam-tables, dining room tables, and side service stands with hot and cold food items including meats, vegetables, salads, desserts, bread, butter, and beverages; replenishes as necessary. Brews coffee according to the number of servings required. Assembles or toss fresh fruit and green salads in quantity using prepared dressings and portions into standard serving sizes. Makes cold sandwiches using prepared ingredients. Break down and cleans tables and area when meal is finished and returns dishes and food to the kitchen area. Stores cleaned dishes, glasses and silverware. Washes tables and counters. Clean kitchen equipment such as worktables, sinks and refrigerators. Cleans and sanitizes trash cans; disposes of trash. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: 1. Ability to understand and follow simple instructions, and be able to use hand tools for cleaning and operating simple machines. **Resume MUST clearly reflect the knowledge and experience listed under the minimum qualifications criteria above. All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.
