**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
+ **Food preparation for both patient dining & retail service:** Safely and efficiently prepare hot & cold food while following regulatory standards & following all food safety requirements.
+ **Must have or be willing to obtain food handles card for Riverside County.** Sersafe certification preferred.
+ **Understand & populate all regulatory logs:** Tracking food temperatures & time temperature control requirements. Monitor equipment including, but not limited to refrigerators, stove, ovens, etc.
+ **Food safety standards:** Follow standards to ensure food is safely prepared. Ensure food cool down procedures are followed. Understand food safety regarding cross contamination.
+ **Recipes:** Be able to read & execute standardized recipes. Must be able to read & speak English
+ **Stocking and Inventory Control:** Regularly check and restock food and beverage supplies in storage areas and kitchenettes, maintaining adequate inventory levels to meet patient needs.
+ **Safety & sanitation:** Understand safe cleaning & sanitation requirements for food preparation & station sanitation.
+ **Dishwashing:** Operate dishwashing equipment and maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.
+ **Cleaning and Sanitization:** Assist in maintaining cleanliness throughout the department.
Qualifications
+ 2 Years of cook experience
+ Valid Government issued identification
Preferred Qualifications
+ Hospital setting
+ Skilled Nursing
