About the Position:
We are seeking a dedicated Food Service Aide to join our hospital's Nutritional Services team. This role is essential in ensuring that patients, employees, and guests receive nutritious, high-quality meals in a clean and safe environment. The Food Service Aide will be responsible for food preparation, meal service, dish washing, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
+ Read menus and individual dietary plans to determine appropriate meal items for patients/residents.
+ Prepare and serve food items, and nutritional supplements, in accordance with dietary requirements.
+ Utilize kitchen equipment such as blenders, mixers, and dishwashers safely and as directed.
+ Ensure proper portion control to maintain food quality and nutritional value.
+ Deliver meals and trays to patients, employees, and guests as assigned.
+ Operate dish washing equipment efficiently, including stripping and racking dishes as needed.
+ Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in work areas, following scheduled cleaning duties.
+ Provide excellent customer service by demonstrating professionalism, politeness, and cooperation with staff, patients, and visitors.
+ Complete mandatory training and educational requirements assigned.
+ Adhere to HIPAA guidelines by safeguarding the security and confidentiality of patient and organizational information.
+ Follow all safety protocols, properly use safety equipment, and report any potential hazards to maintain a safe work environment.
What we are looking for:
+ One to three months of related work experience and/or training.

This posting is for a Casual work status, which means that you will be scheduled only when needed and there are no set hours. Casual employees are not eligible for employee insurance benefits.
