Food Sensory Coordinator

Job Description
An employer is looking for a Food Sensory Coordinator in the Plano, TX area. Your primary responsibility will be to help support taste testing, research activities and sensory related assessments for new products. You will work closely with the food product development team, culinary, and menu to assess product attributes and support the decision making process. You will prepare and organize sensory panels (Taste test participants) and coordinate logistics, setup and trails for these tests. You will help conduct and document these efforts while managing the supplies, equipment and readiness for the trails. You will help evaluate all sensory aspects including appearance, taste, smell, texture, etc. Additional tasks will include panelist management, organizing all participants for the panel, support R&D teams with lab duties and related needs in the test kitchen.

Skills and Requirements
1-3 years experience in test kitchen/ taste testing or sensory research
Knowledge around sensory acuity (Tastes, smell, sight and touch)
Background in food science, food safety or food R&D/ innovation
Well versed on industry standards for food health and safety
Experience setting up tastes tests or trails for new product evaluation Education in food science, food safety or sensory related testing null
