Minimum requirements:
Relevant Degree Reliable Transport At least 5 years relevant experience in a similar position Food Development experience
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain and enhance the culture of behaviour-based ownership of Food Safety Ensure all legal compliancy of the food processing plant Health and Safety legislation Food safety principles- HACCP & FSSC 22000 Administer the Food Safety function for the business ensuring that company policies related to food safety are adhered to. Ensure that Corrective action is taken when non-conformances are identified to maintain the integrity of the Food Management System: Systems Products Processes Ensure effective communication of relevant information to all stakeholders to support decisive decision making for the business Develop effective risk management and traceability reporting while driving continuous improvement Manage a small team and their performances to ensure all documentation is completed and consolidated Knowledge and interpretation of Food Management Systems, procedures, policies, document control, risk management principles(Risk assessments),internal compliance audits and corrective action management HACCP, FSSC 22000 Standards would be critical for the success of this position. Experience in the below would be advantageous: HACCP FSSC 22000 BRC Standards QMS ISO 9001 & ISO 17025 Experience in Food Safety Management Systems ( ISO 22000 / HACCP/ FSSC 22000) Regulation R638 ( Regulations Governing Hygiene Requirements for Food Premises, the Transport of Food and Related Matter) VPN 15 SANS10049 – Food Safety Management System
