Job DescriptionThe Total Quality Specialist is responsible for overseeing continuous quality monitoring and product improvement for assigned suppliers. This role utilizes technical knowledge to evaluate finished products, identifying quality trends, resolving quality and production issues, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders. This role collaborates with the Total Quality, Purchasing, Suppliers, Distribution, Culinary, and Restaurant Excellence teams to help achieve key objectives.
Your Impact and Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains a deep understanding of manufacturing processing methods, becoming a subject matter resource for both internal and external stakeholdersMonitors ongoing compliance with specification adherence through regularly scheduled product evaluations, restaurant visits, and onsite supplier visits, recommending process enhancements to improve quality and ensure the food safety of assigned productsMonitors incident reporting system and restaurant weight logs, providing timely responses and resolutions for operatorsUtilizes knowledge of the restaurant and manufacturing industries to maintain and improve the quality of Raising Cane’s products through processing, storage, and distributionSchedules and leads discussions around product showings and reviewsConducts physical evaluations to ensure compliance with specifications, including measurements, recordings, documentation, label review, and picturesDocuments product reviews and provides recap notes to internal and external stakeholdersProvides support by gathering samples for external lab or analysis from third party partnersProactively supports honest and collaborative relationships with suppliers, gaining trust and providing consultation on product and process improvementsDevelops and maintains collaborative relationships with all internal stakeholders involved in product and supplier development and quality oversightEnsures quality expectations and specifications are met, and that suppliers develop and implement corrective and preventative actions in response to specification deviationsMonitors the real-time temperature monitoring program, ensuring the food safety of poultry through distribution with timely follow up and resolution to all temperature alertsEnsures adherence to HACCP, GMP, and good sanitation practices within assigned production facilitiesDevelops a broad knowledge of Global Food Safety Initiative (GSFI) standards and ensures adherence to the standards within food processing facilitiesMonitors, communicates, and proactively ensures compliance with laws and regulations impacting food processingQualificationsRequirements for Success:
1-3 years of experience in quality assurance, restaurant, or food manufacturing environment Microsoft Proficient: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word preferably incident and inventory management systems Detail-oriented and ability to keep up with the fast pace of a high-growth company Highly organized, ability to manage multiple priorities, and adaptable to change Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic, with strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all written and verbal communication High level of integrity and trustworthiness Strong desire to learn and apply knowledge Customer and crewmember focused Position may require up to 30% travelBachelor of Science degree, with a preference for those holding a degree in Poultry Science or Animal ScienceAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
