Job Title: Food Court Manager

FSLA Status: Salary

Supervisor: Store Director 

 

Provides leadership to food court associates in an effort to ensure an enjoyable shopping experience is consistently delivered and all company policies and procedures are being upheld. Contributes to store sales and profitability by effectively managing all aspects of the food court operations (Caribou coffee, pizza, Asian cuisine, and popcorn) to include but is not limited to: labor, expenses, stock levels, and guest service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages food court labor goals by creating associate schedules and collaborating with store leadership on daily/weekly/annual labor objectivesManages all aspects of food court gross profit goals, planning and shrink controlLeads and reinforces Festival culture, guest service and performance expectations for all food court associatesResponsible for the training and leadership of new food courtassociates Provides guidance and delegates duties to food court leads Develops associates by supporting professional goals and objectivesWrites and conducts performance reviews of the food court associates Documents violations of company policies/procedures by food court associates and conducts the appropriate corrective action in collaboration with HR Manager and Store DirectorDelegates and oversees all tasks in the food court Encourages teamwork through daily operationsEnsures all department standards are being met in the food courtWorks with the Food Court Leads to ensure success for the entire food court operation Ensures correct signage is represented throughout the food court Observes sales floor and back stock conditions; takes action to correct areas of opportunityMaintains appropriate inventory levels and ensures accurate pricing on products received and soldEnsures high quality product and service within food court to drive growth in salesPlaces orders with various vendors for special orders and holidays, utilizing item movement as neededProvides excellent guest services by addressing concerns, resolving issues and living the boomerang principleAssists all food court associates with daily responsibilities while leading by exampleContributes to overall cleanliness of the  café by maintaining, organizing, and cleaning work areas, shelving, and sales floor as neededResponsible for food court associates timekeeping and accuracyTimely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absencesOther duties as assigned

High School Education or equivalent combination of education and experiencePrevious experience leading a food court operation preferred Ability to lead and motivate a team Must posses great oral and written communication skillsKnowledge of technology and the use of a computerThorough knowledge of the retail food business, thorough knowledge of perishable department operations, and/or merchandising skillsAbility to make timely and effective decisionsAbility to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnelKnowledge and understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policiesMust possess the ability to apply on-the-job safety training to recognize and react to possible safety hazards on store premises. Proper training and knowledge of the following equipment/procedures: Hand jack, slicers, baler, trash compactor, fryer, oven, grinders, and mixersMust be ServeSafe Certified

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Stand in place for a long period of time, bend, stoop, and kneel regularlyFull range of upper body motionLifting up to 50 pounds on a frequent basisMay be exposed to extreme temperatures
