Position Summary – The Wedding/Event Coordinator is a key member of the management team and responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Event business at Purgatory Golf Club. From selling private events, creating fun, in-house events, or hosting weddings the Event Coordinator manages the entire affair from selling/promoting through the execution of the event. This position will report directly to the General Manager.
– Up to $46k per year ($21/hr and 5% Commission on Sold/Closed/Executed Weddings and Events)

-Must have excellent interpersonal/relationship skills
-Must be comfortable in the use of CRM/sales automation systems (i.e., salesforce)
-Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Responsibilities
Achieve sales goals set for the Lodge at Purgatory Golf Club Help develop Event sales budgets and marketing plans Develop and implement programs and activities that increase and retain events in the Club, including, but not limited to, telephone sales campaigns, direct marketing campaigns, networking events, open house events, etc. Utilize Salesforce daily to build and maintain an events prospect database, track all communications and activities with those prospects, and record all sales made. Respond to prospect inquiries, conduct tours and meetings for prospective events, and sell events. Oversee the development/preparation of contracts for all events Help prospects plan special events including menus, entertainment, theme, decorations and other aspects. Recommend refinements for catered events to include floral arrangements, table settings and room appointments, and inform potential clients about local rental options for supplementary decorations. Work with the F&B Director to determine event menus and selling prices Schedule all banquet event functions, price and prepare event proposals, collect signed contracts and deposits. Communicate event details/schedule to other facility staff members. Ensure smooth execution of events by inspecting finished arrangements and collaborating with appropriate department heads Hire, train and develop a banquet serving staff. Hires, supervises, and develops service staff consisting of bartenders, servers, and other employees in the F&B service department Develop, implement and monitor standards of service and coordinate catering activities to ensure that a high quality of production and service is consistently maintained. Regularly evaluate services and determine means by which to upgrade quality of events Attend important events to foster relationships that are important to generate event referrals and other club business opportunities Participate in outside activities that are judged appropriate by the General Manager to enhance the presence of the property in the local community. Work with Club’s GM and Regional Marketing team to create sales materials/collaterals Participate in IGP monthly sales calls and/or meetings. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Club’s General Manager
