Responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated Cyber Security Intern with a strong focus on Security Incident Event Monitoring (SIEM) and System Configuration. In this role, you will monitor and analyze security events using Splunk, configure and maintain infrastructure elements such as networking, firewalls, and Active Directory, and gain hands-on experience in cyber security and infrastructure management. This is an excellent opportunity for a student with a solid foundation in basic cyber security concepts to expand their knowledge in the field, including Penetration Testing and System Infrastructure Maintenance/Remediation. 

  

Responsibilities: 

As a Cyber Security Intern, your main responsibilities will include: 

Monitoring and analyzing security events using SplunkConfiguring and maintaining infrastructure elements, including networking, firewalls, and Active DirectoryUsing the MITRE ATT&CK Framework to identify and recognize the tactics used by threat actorsSetting up logging for events on firewalls, databases, and Active Directory systemsParticipating in occasional Penetration Testing and System Infrastructure Maintenance/Remediation tasksWriting comprehensive papers and reports on findings and observationsCollaborating with the team to enhance cyber security and infrastructure management processes Qualifications Currently enrolled in an accredited university or college and working towards a degree in cyber security, computer science, or a related fieldSolid understanding of basic cyber security concepts, including infrastructure security, networking, firewalls, and Active DirectoryFamiliarity with SplunkKnowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK FrameworkExcellent communication skills, with the ability to write comprehensive papers and reports and present findings.Ability to work independently and as part of a team
