Performs daily cleaning, buffing and bonneting procedures in accordance with all facility training in assigned areas. Performs striping and waxing of floors and surfaces as assigned. Supports quality patient care services by maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe and orderly environment for health care providers as well as patients and visitors of all ages and developmental levels. The Floor Technician demonstrates behavior consistent with the operating principles of Loyola University Medical Center and functions as a contributing member of a health care team which meets patient needs through effective communication and commitment to quality outcomes.
Performs daily and project scheduled floor care procedures thorough out the facility. Must be able to operate equipment safely and proficiently. Identifies and reports maintenance and security problems to appropriate personnel.
Perform unplanned/unscheduled cleaning functions throughout the day in response to spills, accidents, unexpected debris, etc.
Logs and tracks maintenance of all equipment. Reports any broken equipment. May fix minor items such as a vacuum cleaner belt. Maintains an organized equipment room.
Will assist in any special projects, new construction turnover, room refresh, etc.

Compensation:
Pay Range: $17.00 - 20.12 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
