Position: Floor Finisher I Department: EVS Reports to: Director of EVS Created: 5/14/25 Job Summary: The Floor Finisher I plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and aesthetic appeal of healthcare and social assistance facilities. This position is responsible for applying various floor finishes, ensuring that surfaces are not only visually appealing but also safe for patients and staff. The Floor Finisher I will work closely with the maintenance team to assess flooring needs and execute finishing tasks in a timely manner. Attention to detail is essential, as the quality of the finish directly impacts the overall environment of the facility. Ultimately, this role contributes to a clean, safe, and welcoming atmosphere for all who enter the facility. Qualifications: + + High school diploma or equivalent preferred. + Previous experience in floor finishing or a related field preferred. + Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in a healthcare environment preferred. Preferred Qualifications: + Certification in floor finishing or related maintenance fields. + Experience working in healthcare or social assistance facilities. + Familiarity with various types of flooring materials and finishes. Organizational Expectations: + Prepare surfaces for finishing by cleaning, sanding, and repairing as necessary. + Apply various types of floor finishes, including wax, sealers, and coatings, according to established procedures. + Conduct regular inspections of flooring to identify areas needing maintenance or repair. + Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule and prioritize finishing tasks. + Maintain inventory of finishing materials and tools, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
