OverviewUtilizes nursing process and knowledge of scientific principles to provide comprehensive, age appropriate nursing care for assigned patients on a variety of inpatient nursing units including the Intensive Care Nursery and Emergency Department. Assists with the shift supervision of nonprofessional personnel as necessary.

Responsibilities Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement a comprehensive, age-appropriate plan of care for the patient/family which promotes optimal patient outcomes.Meets the educational needs of the patient and family, utilizing appropriate principles of teaching/learning.Promotes safe, efficient, family-centered care.Delegates nursing care based on knowledge of staff qualifications/competency and patient care requirements.Participates in performance improvement activities and attends education programs, unit meetings and assigned committees. Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $30.50/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
