This position supports tasking at Naval Air Station (NAS) Point Mugu near Oxnard, CA. The successful candidate will provide qualified Flight Test Engineering and Navy Flight Officer (NFO) support during airborne system testing and reporting for the Navy’s Advanced Sensor Technologies Program Office (AST PO). The work is primarily conducted in and around the Point Mugu area, but up to 35% travel is required.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Systems operator for P-8A training flights, support services flights (logistics, transport, VIP, demonstration), maintenance, acceptance testing, and flight testing (operational test, developmental test, Integration and test, and science and technology).Participating in all aircrew training, ground training, and flight training.Preparing and executing detailed test plans. Preparing test reports. Supporting technical meetings. Supporting acquisition reviews and milestone decisions.Other duties as assigned.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

BS/BA & 8 years of experience. OR AA/AS & 12 years of experience. OR High School Diploma & 16 years of experience.Experience must include:
Within your overall years of experience, at least 8 years of experience must be in the operational employment of airborne search, detection, and tracking systems, as utilized on maritime surveillance aircraftExperience working in aviation testingPersonnel and program management experienceDesignations/Certifications/Aircraft Requirements:
A minimum of 1500 hours in the P-3/P-8 family of aircraftPast or current designations as a P-3 or P-8 Tactical Coordinator (TACCO) and Mission CommanderThe ability to maintain physical standards for flight statusCitizenship & Clearance: Must be a U.S. citizen. Must have TS Clearance. Must have completed a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) within the past six (6) years or currently enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Operational experience with DoD active duty customersExperience with AST systems such as Littoral Surveillance Radar System (LSRS) or Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS)DT and/or OT systems test experience of P-3/P-8 family systems.Recent experience with RDT&E and/or acquisition for advanced military electronics/computer systems.Advanced Sensor Technologies Program Office experience.A Test Pilot School Graduate will be preferred.Additional Notes
Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the past six (6) years (or currently enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program) is required.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week.
Travel: 35%
Compensation: $131,000-196,500. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
