Fleet Specialist
You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company's fleet of vehicles, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods and services. This role involves managing fleet suppliers in terms of leasing and maintenance, coordinating drivers, ensuring compliance with regulations, and optimising fleet performance.
The Fleet Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the fleet.
Position:
As the Fleet Specialist in the Fleet & Facilities Department, you will be responsible for:
Fleet Operations: Manage daily fleet activities, including vehicle scheduling, and driver coordination to ensure efficiency, Address driver concerns and resolve any issues related to fleet operations also to implement and enforce fleet policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations Maintenance & Repairs: Oversee preventive maintenance and repairs, ensuring all vehicles remain in optimal working condition. Coordinate with external maintenance staff and external service providers for repairs and servicing. Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and safety requirements while conducting regular fleet audits. Investigate and report accidents or incidents involving fleet vehicles Cost & Budget Management: Monitor expenses, optimize fuel efficiency, and implement cost-saving measures within the approved budget Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records including vehicle logs, maintenance records, and driver schedules. Track fleet performance metrics, and provide reports to management
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation Management, or a related field is preferred 1-3 years of proven experience in fleet management Fluent English & Arabic Strong knowledge of fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, and regulatory compliance Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage drivers and coordinate with stakeholders
