Fleet Operations Specialist

Job Overview:

Fleet Operations Specialist - Lenexa, KS

The fleet operations specialist will perform activities related to fleet operations within the Region fleet department. Incumbent will complete and maintain accurate records of work orders/repairs, parts inventory, asset inventory, and rentals equipment.  Asset management and equipment disposal will also play a large role in this position. Collection and analyzation of data to provide fleet recommendations will also be required.

Shift and Schedule

Full-time, 1st shiftMonday-FridayFlexibility to work overtime, and weekends as needed is required 

Position Responsibilities:

Procurement of parts/suppliesInvoice processing and trackingAccrual reporting on a weekly/monthly/yearly basisFleet asset database managementEnterprise Asset Management (EAM) equipment transfersFuel Card management and trackingEquipment rentals and database managementReporting and analyzing Fleet Metrics & reportsVehicle registrations covering multiple statesNew equipment implementation & trackingAsset disposals and trackingWeekly/monthly/annual reporting as requiredTracking/scheduling of employee trainingTracking/scheduling of DOT/OSHA/EPA/Local testing or requirementsSpecial projectsResponsible for the on-going development and administration of system reports – adapting to changing business imperatives

Requirements:
2+ years of experience in an inventory roleAbsolute proficiency with Microsoft ExcelFamiliar with data entry systemsAble to lift up to 50 poundsAble to stand and bend for long periods of time in a shop/warehouse environmentGreat written and verbal communication skillsExperience with inventory controls and auditsAttention to detail to quickly identify discrepancies/variancesMust have high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred
